A reflective thought on brooding women vs brooding men by fromhumantohuman

xiiii. Therapy/ A reflective thought over brooding women & brooding men. In a room so quiet Each to there own Here we sit in anxious silence Waiting for the man in front. He thinks he speaks clear, He is the one we come to for releif The one for guidence Somehow i don't trust him His lectures and manner, misunderstanding, A fool in diguise, he may not know himself, An un awakened soul blabbering on A running harsh "scientific mouth" With no room to listen to those who sense a little more strangenes Who think for themselves, the goings on and behaviours of the world, Session after session his approach bewilders me, I can not fathom why he fixates on my appearance Not the typical woman you usualy see, Not the one who dresses in tight or short clothes Not one who is docile in her demeanor, smiling wherever she goes, A smile is what he wants from me, to sit up in a pleasant pose, That ancient notion of what a woman 'should' be That is his approach, I question his motives... is it sexist? There are brooding men sat around me Yet i (a woman) am the only one reproached for brooding? Aren't we all on the same boat? Seeking help to carry our lives afloat? I don't understand.... Why does society accept a brooding man, But not a brooding woman? Why? Why am i ostracized for simply being human? Think upon this... am i alone on this boat?
