I take Zepbound on Friday’s. It seems to have kicked in today. I successfully avoided the dastardly, but delicious, Costco cake. I even ate within the calories and micronutrients that I set for myself. I am very pleased. I came up with the idea of making Costco Sheet Cake Cupcakes. Dense vanilla cake, cream cheese mousse filling, and a vanilla buttercream frosting. Of course, there will be rainbow sprinkles and pretty piping to match that of the Costco trim. I needed something new. This is it. I will probably make them for the hospital next week. For the second flavor of cupcakes, I want something fresh and light, summery. Strawberry or? I broke out my sprout growing system. I used to eat sprouts when I was a kid. They are expense and the texture is a little off-putting, but I am giving it a try. There are many different sprouts one can grow. I am sure I will find some that taste good with a texture I like. The ones I don’t like can go into smoothies. In 3-5 days, I can harvest. I guess that’s what you call it when you pull the sprouts out of the jar. We got my daughter all moved. When we arrived they (daughter, her friend, and husband of friend) had everything already moved down the stairs. That was AWESOME! I am still tired. There were minimal stairs, but the boxes were heavy. I did not need to work out tonight. My wife and I dislike (hate) my daughter’s friend. Not only was she bossy and “directed” us the entire afternoon she is just an absolute know-it-all. She also happens to be the person that suggested and reinforced the idea that my daughter should cut ties with us years ago. My daughter made the choice, but that woman encouraged her. Had she not done that, and I firmly believe she was the driving force, I wouldn’t have lost 5 years with my child. We could have gone to therapy all those years ago and mended our relationship. 5 years is a very long time, and it was filled with constant aching pain. I recognize that it is possible, maybe even likely, that we needed that time to get to a place where we could recognize the degree that we were all broken. Maybe that time helped us hear one another. I had let the anger and sadness go several years ago but seeing her reignited the flame of hatred. I’ll get over and quickly, but I hope to never see her again. My wife saw me pulling out supplies to refinish the island top. She asked why I was doing it. I explained that there is a spot where when the light is just right is flawed and I hate seeing it. She said “Why bother? Nobody sees it.” I said “I see it. I count. It annoys me. It annoys me. She said I didn’t have to be so snotty. I realized it was a little snotty, but honestly, what I see does count. Taking care of your belongings has meaning and value. I built the island and I want it as pristine as I can make it. It’s been a long day. I hope I sleep well. The damn c-pap mask has been bugging me, and I wake in the middle of the night to find it thrown off to the side of my bed. I have to keep it on. If I don’t my insurance company won’t pay for it. Besides, I kind of need it to not stop breathing 17 times per hour. I am off to bed. Asleep: 12:00 / Meds @ 9:30
